Our History
Read Indeed is a 501c3 nonprofit literacy organization and the original vision of Maria Keller, a book-loving girl who wanted to make the world a better place—one book at a time. In the last 10 years, Read Indeed has gifted more than 3 million books to kids in need. Today Read Indeed is managed by 15-year-old Ryan Keller. Read Indeed’s mission is to promote literacy by collecting and gifting books to at-risk children. Having donated more than $4 million in books, Read Indeed has touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of children.
